The new Gemini chatbot will be available in various capacities, starting from a free version to the highest tiered Ultra 1.0 model for $19.99 a month. The Ultra version – powered by the Gemini Advanced AI model – will perform better in complex tasks such as coding, creative collaboration, and logical reasoning, according to Google.
Google claims the distinct tiers and models will set it apart from competitors. The rebranding also places Google’s AI tools under a single brand, named after the Gemini AI engine that was released in December 2023.
Gemini will also offer integration with Google’s larger ecosystem, including Google Docs, Sheets, Slides and Meet, as well as Gmail, the Google mobile app and Android OS. Cloud customers will get Gemini in the coming weeks, enabling them to boost productivity, code faster and protect themselves from cyber-attacks, according to the company.
