Honasa ships 99.2 million beauty products in 2024, skincare leads growth

The shares of Honasa Consumer Ltd were trading at ₹247.50 up by ₹0.35 or 0.14 per cent on the NSE today at 10.40 am.

Honasa Consumer Ltd., the parent company of beauty brands including Mamaearth and The Derma Co., delivered 99.2 million products across 18,700 pincodes in India during 2024, according to the company’s year-end report released on December 28.

Skincare products dominated sales, with facewashes leading at 26.2 million units, followed by sunscreens at 15.9 million units. The company’s hair care segment saw 11.6 million shampoo units sold, while moisturizer sales reached 5.9 million units.

Serum products emerged as a significant growth category, with 7.7 million units shipped. The company’s niacinamide serum was particularly successful, selling 1.5 million units, while salicylic acid serums reached 1.2 million units in sales.

The company’s baby care division under the Mamaearth brand sold 7.2 million products. Another notable performer was Mamaearth’s Onion range, which recorded sales of 9.6 million units.

Regional trends showed varying consumer preferences, with Goa leading in sunscreen purchases and Hyderabad emerging as the leading market for baby care products. The company’s portfolio includes brands such as Mamaearth, The Derma Co., Aqualogica, Dr. Sheths, BBlunt, and Staze Beauty.

According to the company, the data covers the period from January to November 2024.
