Kalpataru Projects raises ₹1,000 crore in landmark equity placement

Kalpataru Projects International Limited (KPIL) has successfully completed a Qualified Institutions Placement (QIP) raising approximately ₹1,000 crores, marking its first equity raise in over a decade. The capital raise attracted significant interest from domestic mutual funds, foreign investment funds, and insurance companies.

The shares of Kalpataru Projects International Limited (KPIL) were trading at ₹1,313 down by ₹26.40 or 1.97 per cent on the NSE today at 11.41 am.

MD & CEO Manish Mohnot highlighted the strategic importance of the fundraise, emphasizing the positive outlook for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) sector. The company expects to leverage the funds to strengthen its balance sheet and accelerate growth plans, driven by global trends including renewable energy expansion, increasing power demand, and infrastructure development.

KPIL, a specialized EPC company, operates across diverse infrastructure segments including power transmission, buildings, railways, oil & gas pipelines, urban mobility, highways, and airports. The company currently executes projects in over 30 countries and maintains a global presence in 75 countries.
