Kernex Microsystems (India) Limited has secured a major contract worth ₹2,041.04 crores from Chittaranjan Locomotive Works, a division of the Ministry of Railways, the company announced today.
The shares of Kernex Microsystems (India) Limited were trading at ₹1,194.75 up by ₹56.85 or 5 per cent on the NSE today at 2.44 pm.
The contract involves supplying, installing, testing, and commissioning 2,500 sets of On-board KAVACH equipment, meeting RDSO Specification No. RDSO/SPN/196/2020, Version 4.0. The project is scheduled for completion within 12 months.
KAVACH, also known as the Train Collision Avoidance System (TCAS) or Automatic Train Protection System (IRATPS), is a critical safety technology designed to prevent train collisions and enhance operational safety. As an RDSO-approved vendor, Kernex has been instrumental in developing and deploying this technology.
With over 33 years of experience, Kernex specializes in railway safety systems, software and embedded design solutions, and networking services. The company has consistently contributed to modernizing India’s rail network through innovative signaling systems.
